Alumni Association
The Syracuse University L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science Alumni Association was established in 1992 to promote the interests and improve the effectiveness of the College, and to foster good fellowship among its alumni. In 1994 the Association was chartered under the aegis of the Syracuse University Alumni Association as the Syracuse University L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science Alumni Association. This established it as part of a charitable and educational organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
All alumni, faculty and staff of the Syracuse University L.C. Smith College of Engineering, the Syracuse University L.C. Smith College of Engineering and Computer Science, the Syracuse University College of Computer Science and engineering graduates of the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry are welcome to join the Association. Membership dues are minimal to maximize participation.
Since its inception, the Association has supported the College and its students through grants and scholarships. In the academic year 2003-2004, the Association provided $17,500 to the dean in support of his students. The funds came from dues and contributions from over 500 dues paying members.
The organization is governed by officers and a board of directors who meet monthly during the academic year. Meetings are presently held on the third Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM. Please contact us for more information, alumni-assoc@ecs.syr.edu or Denise Hendee at 315-443-4345.
